Preheat:

- Add garlic and chopped mushroom stems; cook 2–3 minutes.
Add Elk:
- Add ground elk, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned.
Stuff Mushrooms:
- Fill mushroom caps evenly with the elk mixture.
Add Cheese:
- Top each mushroom with shredded cheese.
Bake:
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until mushrooms are tender and cheese is melted and golden.
Notes
Elk is naturally lean, so avoid overcooking the filling. These stuffed mushrooms are perfect as an appetizer or side dish and pair well with simple dips or sauces.
